Pink is the New Magenta

This post lauds the amazing curative powers of surrounding one’s self in bright colors to enhance your mood. The potential for this to backfire is extremely high. If one has gone off the cynical deep end, bright colors only provoke thoughts about overripe fruit and American Apparel’s current it-doesn’t-matter-if-it’s-hideous-so-long-as-its-preposterously-shiny trend. (Seriously, check out this and this. Feel free to keep browsing, but be warned, so did Oedipus.)

For mild cases, a shade of pink as bright as the cover of Inga Musico’s Cunt (shameless plug, read it, it’s fantastic) should do the trick.

I really enjoy the pink. The cut is quite flattering — I’ve seen much more obnoxious shades in clothing on much less attractive models *cough AmericanApparelSilverSpringmannekins cough* My hair was that color for about two weeks.

Is it bad or good to want to call the camera “Tiresias”?

  2. OOH! Do you have pictures of your hair that color? It sounds gorgeous.

I think the camera is craving a new, zingy name, and I’m having a hard time with it, since I usually pick old soul ones. Perhaps even a noun…

What have I been telling you about bright colors? See?! The Stacen prevails yet again.

Only a few shots on Facebook from a thing @ Charlie’s. The pink faded really quickly. Red stuck around a little longer. aanndd now it’s just brown.
